Takeaways from GeoPaths Third Certification

We here at Young Marketers make it our mission everyday to push forward the next generation of geniuses in the $138 billion world of marketing. Marketing is something that requires your full attention, and a part of that is always learning. While doing my third and final GeoPath certification, I came to see how far and wide this reaches, and how much I have learned. On this third, shorter, and sadly final blog, I will tell you not only what I took from this certification, but the all 3 as a whole.

Seeing the first case study was so cool to me because I could relate to it so much. Pulling the veil back a little bit, I love video games, and have my whole life. In early 2019, a game came out the my friends and I were very early adopters of. For the next 6 or 7 months, we would routinely play deep into the night and in to the early morning. We got very good, won a lot, lost a lot, and one of us (me) is on recording killing the best player on Playstation at the time. This game is called Apex Legends, which is what the first case was about, and we still play to this day. Apex Legends is a battle royale game, similar to Fortnite (but much better and smoother) and is described as “a free-to-play Battle Royale game where legendary competitors battle for glory, fame, and fortune on the fringes of the Frontier” (EA). It is developed by Electronic Arts, or EA, who famously creates Madden and FIFA. With my love letter to Apex aside, it put a lot into perspective for me. They target 18-34 males who have/play mobile games, and wanted influencers to play it so it would grow. I heard of this game from influencers right when it came out and it earned a massive amount of players, so whatever they did worked. It was so cool to me to see the insight suite being used because it showed like okay, this can be used everywhere.

Doing all of these different GeoPath courses and certifications has taught me a lot, and I feel lucky to have been able to share this information with you all. It may come as no surprise that my biggest takeaway from everything was how cool the insight suite is. The insight suite really a sort of sandbox, where you can create an endless combination of different audiences and groups to encompass essentially everybody from every walk of life. Anybody should use GeoPath, regardless of business type or size or anything. It is a tool that can help you target anybody you please and can generate endless revenue to you and your client/company. We here at Young Marketers make it our mission everyday to push forward the next generation of geniuses in the $138 billion world of marketing. Marketing is something that requires your full attention, and a part of that is always learning. Everyday, new publications pop-up trying to give you more and more tips as to how you should market, but some stand tall above the rest. One of sources that I believe to be in that upper echelon is GeoPath. That is how these blogs started, and that is how I will end them.
